Created in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, this one-of-a-kind handcrafted wooden American flag is the result of a special collaboration between two members of the Morton community.

The flag was handcrafted by local woodworker John Jacob, who designed and built the piece from native fir. The wood has been carefully shaped to create a three-dimensional effect, giving the appearance of the flag waving while highlighting the natural beauty of the wood grain.

The eagle design was created specifically for this project by Scott Witzig, Executive Director of the Morton Community Foundation. The collaboration was undertaken to commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, and to create a unique piece to benefit the Foundation’s mission.

The soaring eagle represents the strength, freedom, and resilience of the American spirit, while the handcrafted construction reflects the values of craftsmanship, service, and community.

This piece is one of a kind, created exclusively for this auction. All proceeds from its sale will support the work of the Morton Community Foundation, helping strengthen and enrich the Morton community for years to come.
